How to create the Iron Man armor for HEMA
How to recreate metal armor on a HEMA jacket? In custom projects, we use various techniques like mixing various colors of fabric, changing the stitches and design of a jacket, or adding a theme with block printing technique. In this project we decided to try something completely new: a color printing on a whole surface of clothing.
This method will help us in getting even closer to the original. It gives a chance of adding the details and mixing the colors in a way previously unreachable.

i wonder can these Hema Jackets prevent knife slashing and or stabbing to some degree

Yeah right, but where did you get 800N+ scisors and 800N+ needles to cut and sew that :-> From NASA?
HUGE Downside that it does not have a blade catcher, I mean that single thing disqualifies it from any use in HEMA or SCA where I am, that is a absolute NO GO in my club. Could overlook the lack of the zipper, but not the no blade catcher. Very disappointed, as I was about to buy it over the standard, but what's the point if I can't use it?
Today I saw one shoulder cover and one upper arm cover fall off during a tournament (off of 2 separate competitors, both wearing spes jackets). Feedback from one of the competitioners was, that thinner elastic bands withstand more hits than the standard thickness bands.
Do these flex at all?

We would love to make some historical pants or some sort of hose, but it's a more complicated project. We can't promise anything for now, but we are thinking about it!

Sorry for delay in response! Yes, they are also in arms and in a collar.
Looks great. I'm holding out for a few more colours. It would be great if you could design some historical trousers to go with it as well.
We want to develop this gear, so hopefully soon there will be more options of personalization. And yes, trousers are something we should consider!

Hello It would be great if you introduced a new generation of full plastic arm and leg protectors. In retro style would be great. Greetings
Interesting! We'll talk this through.
@@SPESHistfenc I mean 15th century full arm and legs protections made from hard shell plastic. It would give a unique look in combination with the FG line. Many people are looking for well-made leg protectors (we don't want modern sports leg protectors) we want good looking, protecting and most importantly providing mobility typical looking medieval leg protections. When you create protectors for forearms and calves, we want the cover to be on each side, i.e. forearm protection composed of two or three parts, adjustable with a belt. In the current version there is no inner forearm protection. As for the protection of the knees and tibias, it would be good if they were integrated and well protected like knight's plate ones, i.e. front, back and sides.

is this jacket suitable for smallsword training ? Iam looking for a very light alternative for better movement and also because of heat (also because of summer) in comparison to my 800N jacket which seems a bit overkill for Smallsword Training.
